One of McDonnell Systems core activities is the design and programming of Dynalite dimming systems.

Centralised dimming systems are around for a long time now and Dynalite represents the state of the art today .

In a domestic situation 1 push of a button can change the look and mood of a whole room , or building for that matter , through the use of clever balancing of lighting levels from various lighting sources.

Furthermore it is wrong to see a system such as Dynalite as mere lighting control.

Many devices within the Dynalite range extend the capabilities of this system to behave something more like a building management system (BMS) where timed or triggered events can trigger irrigation systems , blinds, heating and any other facility that requires the switching of an electric circuit.

One of our favourite features you might find in today's smart-home  is the staggered power up we can provide through our programming where lighting gradually illuminates in pre-determined steps and building enters "Welcome" mode when the alarm system is disarmed or perhaps when the electric gates open.

Extra to the added convenience of having a Dynalite Control system installed in your home (or venue) , through clever programming we can reduce energy bills to the point where the dimming system can recoup the initial outlay of its installation  within  4 to 5  years not to mention the savings attributed to re-lamping as is the case in the commercial sector
